Doug Pike Announces 8 New Democratic Endorsements

Ardmore, PA -- Today Pike for Congress is announcing 8 Democratic endorsements in the race for U.S. Congress in the 6th District of Pennsylvania:

From Berks County:
- State Representative and Judiciary Committee Chairman Thomas R. Caltagirone (D-127th)

From Chester County:
- State Committee Member Mary Ann Good
- Chester County Democratic Treasurer Kevin Fitzpatrick
- Phoenixville Councilman Michael Speck
- Phoenixville Councilman David Gill

From Montgomery County:
- 1st Vice-Chair, Montgomery County Democratic Committee & State Committee Member Joanne Olszewski
- Co-Chair of the Democratic Committee of Lower Merion & Narberth Joe Foster
- Former Lower Merion Township Commissioner Felice Wiener

"It is an honor to have the support of these Democratic leaders in my campaign to represent the 6th District of Pennsylvania," said Doug Pike. "I look forward to working with them all closely as a member of Congress to create jobs, pass universal health care, and make sure every child receives a quality education."

Doug Pike served on the Editorial Board of The Philadelphia Inquirer for 14 years and he served as the chairman of the board at a hospital and nursing care facility for 10 years. Previously, Pike served as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter for U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas. In 1971, Pike graduated with honors from Princeton University. He lives in Montgomery County.

The 6th District encompasses parts of Berks, Chester, Lehigh, and Montgomery Counties.
