Chester County Young Democrats Unanimously Endorse Doug Pike
Ardmore, PA - The Chester County Young Democrats unanimously endorsed Doug Pike last night at their endorsement meeting in West Chester, PA.
"We endorsed Doug Pike as the best candidate to beat Jim Gerlach in the Fall and as someone who has shown a real commitment to Democrats and all residents of Chester County," said Sean McCarson, spokesperson for the Chester County Young Democrats. "Doug is passionate about creating jobs, fixing our broken health care system, and making sure every child has the education to advance in a competitive global economy. Doug has a strong belief in protecting our civil liberties and fighting for equality for all Americans. We were proud to endorse him unanimously and look forward to working for him in the primary."

"We need to keep bringing young people into the political process and the Young Democrats are at the forefront of that effort. Doug Pike served on the Editorial Board of The Philadelphia Inquirer for 14 years, providing insight and analysis on a broad range of public policy for southeast Pennsylvania. He also served as President of a hospital for 10 years. Previously, Pike served as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter for U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas. In 1971, Pike graduated with honors from Princeton University. He resides in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County.
